ELIGIBILTY
Sight Care at Home provides eye care services to anyone in a care home or in their own home
Entitlement for NHS Optical Services in England And Wales
1) If you are aged 60 years or over, you are entitled to a FREE eye examination under NHS regulations. If you are unable to visit a high street Optician due to ill health or you are unable to attend alone, you are eligible for a FREE eye test in your own home.
2) Do you have the appropriate benefits?
You are entitled to an NHS optical voucher/NHS glasses, if:
- You and/or your partner receives a Pension Credit Guarantee.
- You and/or your partner has a valid HC2 certificate (certificate number and expiry date required).
- You and/or your partner has a valid HC3 certificate (certificate number, expiry date and amount that voucher will be reduced by, are all required).

If you do not fall under any of these above categories, you may be a privately paying individual. If you are 60 or over you are still entitled to FREE eye tests under NHS regulations, although you may need to pay for your glasses. An authorisation/invoice sheet will be left on the day of testing for you to fulfil or alternatively, if a power of attorney’s details are provided, we can contact them directly to discuss the order

Private Sight Test Fees
If patients who are aged 60 or above are ineligible for NHS funding and are privately paying, we can provide them with eye tests in the comfort of their private homes.
Sight Care at Home provides a private eye test at home for £50 with a £25 fee for a second or subsequent family.
